The inaugural IGDA Summit is quickly approaching, along with a veritable boatload of industry luminaries. Developers will be gathering at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in downtown Seattle, WA July 18th-19th for this valuable opportunity to learn from one another’s experiences creating successful careers, games and businesses.

The tracks will include several speakers from Valve, including Director of Business Development Jason Holtman, as well as speakers from Microsoft, 343 Industries, Take-Two, Zynga, Bungie, Lucasarts, Google, PopCap, and many more. Ed Fries, co-creator of the Xbox Project and CEO of Figureprints, will be moderating a session Monday about how to deal with the success of your studio. Former actor turned game developer Wiley Wiggins, best known for his roles in films like Dazed and Confused and Waking Life, is speaking on a panel about creatively funding your game project and building a community using Kickstarter.
